Anthony Wright was born in Melbourne, Australia. He has degrees from the University of Melbourne and the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology. Anthony traveled extensively throughout the world before settling down in Mexico City in 1992, where he lived, married and worked for a decade. His main occupation while in Mexico was as an arts and travel reporter and later an arts editor for the English dailies Mexico City News and Mexico City Times. He was Mexico correspondent for The Hollywood Reporter and published articles with the Mexican art photography journal Luna Cornea. Wright's own photography was featured in the art book Sensacional de Diseno Mexicano in 2001.
