Scott Listfield was born in Boston in 1976. He attended art schools and colleges in the northeastern U.S. and Italy in the late 1990ís. He has participated in a number of group exhibitions in the New England area, and has received favorable notices in several fine arts competitions at the regional and national level, including a spot in New American Paintings (Issue No. 56).

In his painting, Scott is interested in the amalgam of modern space travel with popular iconography, the media, and urban life. In his works, the astronaut in his paintings "is simply here to explore the present."
